JANUARY 13, 2007 Man, we don't want to get our hopes too high, but the rain continues to come and the water continues to rise. We haven't been here for about 2 weeks and the level has gone up about another foot. We are standing on the right (north) end of the building site pad, at the front edge. This shot is across the wetland zone; the sand beach is straight away on the other end of the fish structure. The Wood Duck houses are installed along the timber line. The poles are in what will be about 2 - 3 feet of water when she's brim full. All that structure that we installed last August on dusty dry land is submerging as planned. It feels like it was just last month that we were walking around on the bottom in work boots. Pretty cool.
