JANUARY 28, 2007 The water level has reached the end of the poured concrete boat launch. It may seem trivial, but considering we were pouring this slab this last summer on totally dry ground makes it seem like a distant memory. We know the elevation of the end of the boat launch pad. This means that we are about 5'-4" or so of vertical water level from a full pond. It was kinda cool to go over to the dam at the other end and stand at the current shoreline just below the spillway pipe...I could look straight into the interior of the pipe. Like I said...sounds trivial, but to us it's a milestone. Oh yeah, what the heck is that stuff in the foreground? It's fish habitat and spawning structure. Some of it is already below the ice.
